I suddenly remembered why I hate February...

I want those two days, dammit.

Really, it's just a matter of rearranging. August, for example, shouldn't have 31 days. We just had 31 days in July! And if we simply redistribute...pass August's day on to September, give October's to November, then take December's day and give it over to February...well, we're up to 29 in February (and on leap years...30!).

And this way? Everything is much more balanced.

See?

January - 31
February - 29 (or 30)
March - 31
April - 30
May - 31
June - 30
July - 31
August - 30
September - 31
October - 30
November - 31
December - 30

Oy, the things I'll rant about when I'm procrastinating.

Back to work...T-minus 2 hours, 42 minutes and counting...

It's those damn Caesars, yes? They stole extra days for their months (Julius and Augustus, respectively)?

After some research (I would never use Wikipedia as an academic source, but I'm on it multiple times a day to either confirm what I already know or to pick up general knowledge)...anyway...according to Wikipedia's entry for February 30th, the calendar may have been set up exactly as I suggested for a brief time before Augustus stole a day from February to put toward his newly-renamed "August" so that his month would be equal to Julius' "July."
