I'm not so music saavy...I just listen to what I like.
But then I looked it up (dudes, wikipedia has EVERYTHING), and it's only been 4 years. 2003's Album of the Year was Norah Jones' "Come Away With Me."
Oh well.
But I do only own 5 Albums of the Year, out of a possible 49. Yikes.
2007: Taking the Long Way - Dixie Chicks
2003: Come Away With Me - Norah Jones
2000: Supernatural - Santana
1997: Falling Into You - Celine Dion (hey, it was pre-Titanic and an excellent album)
1996: Jagged Little Pill - Alanis Morissette
Feel free to check your own stats here.

Oh, and can anyone explain to me the difference between Record of the Year and Song of the Year? It seems that one is given to the producers and performers of a song and the other to the composer...but is it really necessary?
I'm pretty music illiterate and I guess one could equate it to Best Screenplay and Best Picture, but I really can't find that comparable.
Thoughts?

Last note:
The weather was so bad here (in case you thought I was exaggerating before...I wasn't) that they interrupted Ellen twice to give updates. The worst part is that it was during Peter O'Toole, and I don't know it y'all saw him on The Daily Show, but it was awkward and not so good, but he was REALLY GOOD on Ellen...though I missed about 3 minutes of it for a weather update. Stupids.
