I don't want to give away too much here (though it should be noted that if you haven't seen it yet, you are probably not a good friend of mine, because all of my friends would have seen it already...), it needs to be said that Norrington was fan-fucking-tastic, Tom Hollander as Lord Beckett = the picture of perfection, the end made me go *GASP!* and Stellan Skarsgard was super sweeeeet. Oh, and of course...Keira was hotter than hell (especially when she was being all boy-ish and lean and cute and *giggle!*) and Elizabeth as a character kicked major ass, both literally and figuratively.
Reasons why this movie is superior to the first: All the gray area! The first one was so black and white compared to this one (though it should also be noted that Zoe and I had long, LONG discussions about the dichotomies of good and evil in the first one...honest pirate, etc...this one blew that out of the water).
I currently have plans (they don't necessarily know it yet...) to see it with my sister (possibly Sunday), see it again with Laura (sometime next week), and if it's still in theaters when Zoe comes up here (soonish, I hope)...I think we'll have to see it at least twice. Because yes.
*loves Gore Verbinski for making Pirates 2 everything I wanted and MORE!*
EDIT: OOOO! The third one now has a title (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End) and a release date (May 25, 2007)! SWEET!
