The Five Love Languages

My primary love languages are probably
Physical Touch and Quality Time.

Complete set of results

Physical Touch:  10
Quality Time:  10
Words of Affirmation:  5
Acts of Service:  4
Receiving Gifts:  1

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Pretty obvious what I need, eh?

Shopping today was alright. Got two pairs of Old Navy flip flops (the really cheap 2/$5 ones). Shopping will also continue tomorrow and Wednesday. Oh my.

Klein Sexual Orientation Grid

I scored an average of 1.62

01 2 3 4 5 6
HeterosexualBisexualHomosexual

Meaning

This result can also be related to the Kinsey Scale:

0 = exclusively heterosexual
1 = predominantly heterosexual, incidentally homosexual
2 = predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual
3 = equally heterosexual and homosexual
4 = predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual
5 = predominantly homosexual, incidentally heterosexual
6 = exclusively homosexual

Summary

The idea of this excercise is to understand exactly how dynamic a person's sexual orientation can be, as well as how fluid it can be over a person's lifespan. While a person's number of actual homo/heterosexual encounters may be easy to categorize, their actual orientation may be completely different. Simple labels like "homosexual", "heterosexual", and "bisexual" need not be the only three options available to us.

The Multidimensional Scale of Sexuality

According to my answers, it is likely that I identify as
Concurrent bisexual
or equally,
Sequential bisexual.

Complete set of results

Concurrent bisexual:  3
Sequential bisexual:  3
Heterosexual with some homosexuality:  2
Heterosexual:  1
Asexual:  0
Homosexual:  0
Homosexual with some heterosexuality:  0
Past heterosexual, currently homosexual:  0
Past homosexual, currently heterosexual:  0

Information

The Multidimensional Scale of Sexuality was devised by Larry Kurdek, B. Berkey and T. Perelman-Hall. It is an extension of the Klein Sexual Orientation Grid, recognising that sexual identities can change over time, people can identify with more than one sexual identity, and that asexuality is a valid sexual identity. The Multidimensional Scale of Sexuality was published in the "Journal of Homosexuality" in 1990.

Interesting. Thanks to my sister, cicigreen, for posting the quiz links.

So, according to your love language results, you just need a guy who will touch you a lot?

(that was assuming you count being physically touched, "quality time")

Well, if you take into account the scale of sexuality, I need a guy or girl who will spend an abundance of time with me and touch me a lot during that time.

Is that asking too much?

Methinks it stems from the fact that we are not touchy, nor emotionally open/honest in my family.

So. I'm #1 Quality Time, #2 Physical Touch. I'm 2.9 on the Klein scale. Multidimensional: #1 Concurrent bisexual (4), #2 Sequential bisexual (4)--congratulations to us! Just wanted to weigh in. ;)

Re: My results... if you care...
I DO CARE!!!

I was definitely hoping you'd respond because I wanted to see what you got. I mean, quizzes like that are usually bullshit, especially if they are internet quizzes, but I thought it was interesting none the less.

OH, and I finished Order of the Phoenix last night. Seriously, it might be my favorite. I don't care much for the Grawp storyline, but overall, it's really good. I mean, Umbridge is the scariest kind of villain, in my opinion, because she's oppressive, dictatorial, and underhanded, which is so much worse than being flat out antagonistic. And with Dumbledore pushing Harry away, and Harry equally not wanting to go to him for help, Harry has to take lead in a way he never has before. This is the first time we see him really on his own and independent and capable of fulfilling his prophecy. It's just so great, I can't even explain.
