If I could only have you near to feel a sigh or two...

(from archives)

An update long overdue. I've been listening to a lot of Christmas music. Like... a week ago, I had one Christmas song in my entire iTunes library. Now? I have 92. 5.2 hours of Christmas music.

Maybe it's because I'm continually missing home and friends and family more and more, but I've just been so in the mood for Christmas. But Thanksgiving break is just around the corner...and then there's only a few hectic final-filled weeks until Winter Break. 5 weeks of freedom in the town that I've always known. I can barely wait. And it couldn't come soon enough.

In other news, I've been pretty busy lately. Yesterday, I started at 9:30 with class, worked straight until 11:15 when I went to the IU Art Museum for an assignment, came back and watched Amélie for a class, went to more classes from 4:30 until 8:30, then went straight to the library without getting dinner to meet my French group and make our handout for our presentation next week. I got home at 11pm, exhausted. And having to write two papers.

Soon I'll be relaxing. My history homework assignment tonight went really smoothly, so that was nice. It's about time I don't spend hours working on something. And tonight a bunch of us watched Shrek, ate pizza, and then played a couple games of Cranium. Overall, not a terrible night. Things could have been better, but of course...nothing is perfect.

And now, I need to get to bed, because I can't remember the last time I got more than 7 hours of sleep, and my body needs 9 to function without protest. And I can tell you right now, my throat, tummy, and eyes are protesting like it's their job. If I fall asleep right at this instant, I get 6 and a half hours. Oh, goody.

If I could know within my heart that you were lonely too,
I would be happy just to hold the hands I love, on this winter's night with you.
