Wait for it....wait for it.........wait for it....................

I'm updating!!!

Yeah, I actually have to update *poofgone* as well, but for now, I'm online here and figured, why not?

Life in Florida is hot, and rather lonely. I have no friends, though that doesn't bother me too much. Or at least it doesn't yet. I'm good with being a loner in classes, and I've been spending lots of time locked away in my room. I have my own bathroom, after all, and I keep all my non-refrigerated food in my huge ass closet. So really, all I'd need is a mini fridge and I'd never have to leave my room. Ever.

But that defeats the purpose of college life and being social, and according to society, I'm supposed to meet the "best friends of my life" as well as a husband here, so I guess I better start hunting and pecking.

In other news, I wish I had a down blanket, because while it's hotter than hell outside, it's colder than a witch's tit in his apartment. My toes are froze. And if anyone can explain to me the phrase "colder than a witch's tit," I'd be much obliged.

'Tis all.

i disagree. i met the best friends of my life in middle school, but i live in a small town so i guess we're the exception to that saying. i haven't met my husband yet either and all i have left to do is student teach. i got nothing on the witch's tit quote. this is betsy by the way. i'm glad to see you're still breathing!

I definitely think people put too much of an emphasis on "college." My best friends are mostly from high school, with a couple going as far back as 2nd grade. I definitely don't expect to meet a husband sitting in some stupid Statistics class, nor at a silly frat kegger. I'm at school to learn, and I'm actually not feeling so bad about not having friends around here. I'm taking classes so that hopefully I can graduate in less than 3 years (my student loans are piling up even as we speak), so as long as I'm civil with my roommates, who cares if my best friends are miles away. I still talk to them and they are still there for me. That's all that matters.

And yay for only having student teaching left! I can only wish I was that close to the end. Congrats!
