Re:
I looked at it briefly. My current thing is no credit cards are good. EVER. But as long as you use it wisely, then I guess it is OK.

My general credit card thoughts:

1. Make a budget. Figure out how much income you have, minus worst-case bills. Anything leftover is your spending for the month. Don't ever charge more than that amount. You may not have to pay off your balance right away, but you will eventually, and you never really know where you are going to be or what you are going to need in six months. Or a year.

2. Only have one major credit card. A couple store cards are OK as long as their balances are low and you pay them off in one to three months.

3. If you are going to have a credit card, it may as well be one that rewards you with stuff ( ie the amazon card). I have seen Disney has a credit rewards card out now too. Just a thought.

4. Do not carry your card with you. Keep it at home in a drawer or a box or a safe or something. You can't impulse buy if you don't have your card. This also forces you to plan your purchases ahead of time and decide if it is really something you "have to have" or would just be nice to have.

And I think that's about it. Just be safe. Don't get in over your head. It sucks to live your life afraid of the phone ringing because there may be someone there waiting to harass you about your past due balance.

I currently pay the credit counseling service $723 a month. And will do so for the next 4 years. Do you know what I could do with that money every month? I wouldn't have to work two jobs for starters!
