I awoke this morning to the smell of fresh-brewed coffee wafting down the stairs. This made me think of Easter, or Christmas, or Saturdays of the past when all 5 kids still lived at home and mommy would make elaborate breakfasts. Bacon and sausage and toast and eggs fixed three different ways. Yes, back in the good old days. Fresh-brewed coffee is a warm, kind, and familiar smell that will always remind me of happy days.

In other news, I woke up before my alarm. *shrug* I guess it's better than after. My big-girl bed, though I like the size, is not all it's cracked up to be. My last bed was awesome. One of my friends even commented that it was the perfect combination of softness and firmness. It was. The new bed is like a board. You know when you wake up and you feel like you never want to get out of your comfy bed? Well here, you wake up and think about laying on a board. It's really hard to get comfy on. I don't want to complain because we got it for free, and it's practically new, but I like my old bed. :o(

Fayanne said that my African Violet looked better than hers. Mine has still been living in my room with no windows. It basically gets no sun, or natural air. It does, however, get plenty of artificial light and CO2 (I breath a lot, and it's a small room, so I'm sure it is in good with the carbon dioxide).

Checked mail. Nothing. Yuck. I hate not getting mail. Oh well, I should be showering anyways. Get a jump on everything. Fear not...I will be back.
