Keira - Quite Pretty

(no subject)

A BBC article: Atonement tests Knightley's fame

Oh god, I'm SO excited for it! Perhaps they'll push the release date in the US if it does really well overseas. (January is just too far away!)

Also, Zoe...the film opened the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday, hence the reviews that have been trickling in.

And now...shower. I have a class briefly in the afternoon, then I'm chilling out in a mostly-empty apartment for the night before heading to Spring Hill for the extended Labor Day weekend. Today, I have plans to pay my rent, watch movies, catch up on some TV, possibly even rent some things from Blockbuster.

It will be very chill and very much needed.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

So I happened across Snakes on a Plane on HBO...and I'm desperately trying to decide if I should watch it. I's SLJ.

But it's Snakes on a Plane. It's almost too campy, and it's only been on for 20 minutes. ( 32 minutes in, a snake has already attacked a woman's naked breast...yeah, this is not a serious movie.) But I have nightmares about snakes as it I really should probably just turn it off.

My other options this evening are:
- 13 Going on 30 on Fox
- Dave on AMC
- Thank You For Smoking on TiVo
- About Last Night... from Netflix
- Caché from Blockbuster
- The Notorious Bettie Page from Blockbuster
- My entire DVD collection (of over 600 discs)

I've already watched Year of the Dog (which got a little crazy, but was good overall) and The Last Mimzy (which was interesting and I LOVE Rainn Wilson)...both from Blockbuster.

BTW...I spent the price of a month's subscription on Netflix on 4 DVDs from Blockbuster. That shit's a scam, yo.

But I knew what I was getting myself into and I was just preparing for a stay-in-and-veg night. Two of the roommies are already gone, the other will be leaving within the hour, and I'm not heading back to my mom's house until tomorrow!

So. Back to my movies and junk food. Hope you all are having a similarly awesome Friday night. :-)

-Do you think it's funny? -I was a Pirate King, now I'm a Nurse. That's funny.

I'm not sure why, but that Shakespeare in Love quote popped into my head and I love it.

I must watch that soon.

Just finished watching Little Miss Sunshine on HBO Signature. God, I love HBO. And Steve Carell. And everything about that movie.

Now, I'm onto The Notorious Bettie Page, hence the racy icon. ;-)

This is a very movie-oriented day. I love it.
