peaces_icons - Mulan (whoops)

If you don't go, if you should stay...

Perhaps you noticed my recent disappearance.

Well, I was having a mini Disney vacation! Yay!

Saturday afternoon, my brother, Dave, his wife, Katie, and their adorable daughter, my 7-month old niece Samantha, arrived at Disney for a 5-day Disney trip, so the whole damn family rushed over to have a long weekend of fun and lots of walking and pictures.

So it was a long, but fun weekend. Disney is always wonderful, and it will be better in December when Dave, Katie and Samantha come back, and Samantha will be 14 months and able to do more stuff.

And this is not a very good picture of me, but it's the only one I have of me with the pretty baby...

Now, I'm relaxing, catching up on TiVo'ed shows, and trying to plan my trip home. I'm thinking...I'll leave Florida on Sunday, May 13th, drive part of the way, get a hotel and stay the night somewhere around Tennessee or Kentucky. I'll arrive in Deerfield on May 14th. I'll stay through the week and head back to Florida on Monday, May 21st(?). I'll probably get a hotel again and return to Spring Hill on May 22nd.

That's all tentative, I'll be researching hotels later today.

That's all for now.
Johnny Depp - Captain Jack

-I don't *feel* any different. Do I look any different? -You still look like an ass to me.

Alright, so there are a TON of cool people doing voices in Shrek...clearly, most of them have been around for a movie or two already (Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas, Julie Andrews, John Cleese, Rupert Everett, Larry King).

And I knew that for the Shrek the Third, we were adding Justin Timberlake. I didn't know that we were also getting a bunch of SNL girls (Cheri Oteri, Maya Rudolph, and Amy Poehler), not to mention Amy Sedaris, Ian McShane, Regis Philbin, John Krasinski, and Eric Idle.

Sweetness.

Also, apparently Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is opening at 8pm on May 24th. Instead of the usual 11:59pm (midnight) showing, most theaters also have an 8pm time scheduled. The Regal by me has showings at 8:00, 8:25, 11:35, and 11:59.

Crazy. I could be home by midnight. Plus, I'd see it that much sooner (4 hours is a huge difference!).

Hmmm...

Alice - (you're all mad!)

-Peter...you killed my father. -There are bigger things happening here than me and you.

So I know I have some geeky, comic-book lovers on my friends page (y'all responded to my previous post regarding the ComicCon), so this link is for you:

Rotten Tomatoes' Comix Worst to Best

It's a countdown of the best comics-based movies. I can't really comment on to the accuracy of the list, except to say that I definitely thought Spider-Man 2 was ridiculous and that RT ranked it much too highly (though, to be fair, the ranking was based on critic ratings).

Eh, you might enjoy?
