Every knot was once straight rope

Well, hmm. My day.

Around 3 I call Candace to find out what's up with Carl's gift thing. I end up going to Northbrook Court (flames! just...flames!!) to pick up something...anything at this point. When I get home, I find that my internet is down, so I write a Collapse )

Things looked up after that though. The final show went great and gifts were all resolved. I got a swan, a rose, and Collapse )

I'm the cutting queen tonight, apparently.

So after the show, that went really well despite a few difficulties (starting 10 minutes late because we needed to fix the set and trying to make the dragon tail work in the 3 minutes before intermission ended...). So yay. It's over and all was well.

The production party was good. I like mingling to a certain extent, and it was nice to talk to some people that I don't usually talk to...but generally I prefer things when they get smaller. So around 12:30, most people had left and the 10 or so folks left watched The Brothers and laughed at ourselves for being so white.

Zoe and I left at 2am (which was actually only 1am...damn time change!) and so I'm home now. But I'm really tired, so I'm hoping to crash soon and sleep late. Mmm...sleep.

Happy Sunday and Daylight Savings to you all!

The finale of Into the Woods (in head)

He'll catch up later, he's just got other things on his mind...

First and foremost,

Happy Birthday, Shimmer!!

I hope you have a fabulous day!

I've got RENT stuck in my head and I'm eating a large bowl of Corn Pops. Yes, this might just be heaven. I love cereal.

I'm up way too early. I went to bed at 2 (after the time change) and woke up at 9:30. Ewww. But oh well. C'est la vie, n'est pas?

Hmmm...I wonder what I'll do today. I have no homework and I don't really feel like being productive in any physical manner (like no cleaning my room...) but I bet I could work up the energy to color a picture!

Baby you're a big star now

Cause you come and go again like the tide, while on the shoreline I stand washed of my pride

And the truth I keep pushing aside
Is that it's time to walk away.

I love this song so very much.

And if I keep spamming like this...I'll have a lot of posts in a very little time. ;-p

I had an actual topic for this entry. I swear...I did. But dammit, I can't remember what it was...

Collapse )

I want to go out today. Somewhere very specific but I fear it's not going to happen. *sigh*

Ha ha...so last night, Candace was looking though Allure magazine and there was an article called "5 Things That Are Wrong With Your Bra" to which I said:
"There are a thousand things wrong with my bra. Number one: it's on."
We laughed for a good, long time. I'm so witty sometimes. Especially when I don't try to be.

So I'm still listening to songs to try and decide what should go on the "soundtrack of my life" (which I will probably actually burn once I decide) so every song that comes on, I think "AHHH! I love this song!" Umm...duh.

So it just went "Round Here" (Counting Crows) and now is "Loving Arms" by the Dixie Chicks.

Looking back and longing for the freedom of my chains
and lying in your loving arms again...
I can almost feel your loving arms again.

This is probably one of the most random posts I've had lately. But I'm trying not to end it in case I remember what I actually wanted to post. Because...ya know...that's going to happen. Grrr...

Bree Sharp, Counting Crows, Dixie Chicks...

Somebody tell my head to try to tell my heart that I'm better off without you

I remembered what I wanted to say in my last post.

And I promise this is it for a while...4 posts in just over an hour is unnecessary.

My sister Fayanne (who is student teaching this semester, graduating in December and looking for a teaching job around here for a while) heard back from one of the schools she applied to. Bannochburn! It's about a minute away from our house! It's practically in friggin' Deerfield. Yay! I hope she can get the job there, because it's an extremely wealthy school. Hell, Michael Jordan's kid goes there. That would be so much better than going up to Antioch or Gurnee. Those are just far. This is so close! And so good! Yay!

That's it for a while. Later all!

    Without You - Dixie Chicks

Dear Joan I wanted to say that I'm sorry for the screaming last night and the nights before

Sorry I couldn't stay away longer. I blame the extensive spam on the fact that journal is practically dead today. If other people were posting, mine wouldn't look so obtrusive. Sorry, y'all!

In other news, I did clean my room after saying that I wouldn't. Not a total upheaval in any light, but I picked up a lot of crap and found places for my excessive pillows and emptied my garbage basket. So basically...things just look a lot better.

I also realized that my room was beginning to smell a little, so I've had a juniper breeze candle burning for the last few hours.

And I've been napping for the last few hours as well. Yes, I'm that smart to have slept for two hours with a candle burning and being the only one at home. If you don't chance the fates, how will you know their will?

Lastly, I think I'm being a bigger bitch than necessary to the one person I really don't want to be a bitch to.

Dear Joan - Tabitha's Secret (in head...and my away message)

She says the Bible is all that she reads...prefers that I not use profainity

Alright, so I can definitely allow my playlist to get past "You Don't See Me"...especially when it goes straight into "Comfortable."

*sigh* I love it.

Also, I have accepted that today is my Spam Day From Hell(tm). I apologize, and things will be better tomorrow. Today though, I'm embracing my excessive posting.

You're mouth was so dirty...

Our love was comfortable and so broken in (John Mayer)

(no subject)

I'm watching Vanilla Sky.

A tad bit fucked up, but good. And I love Jason Lee. So very, very, very, VERY much.

But my attention span is that of a fruit fly, so having another 45 minutes is not looking appealing.

Can you tell the difference between dreams and reality?

Baby you're a big star now

Our dreams can become a reality...you'll see boys

A few things:

One, my tab button isn't working. It works in the sense that when I hit it, it does stuff. However, instead of, say, going from the subject line to this box, it switches windows altogether.

It's going to hell.

Two, I damn things to hell all too often. And I don't plan on stopping.

Three, this is my 11th post today. If I were you people, I'd be kicking my ass right about now. Or have stopped reading back around the "You Don't See Me by Josie and the Pussycats is the best song ever" post. ;-)

Four, Mommy and Dad went to Long Grove today and brought me home a HUGE homemade taffy apple. Mmm...with salty crushed peanuts on the outside and good carmel and that taste that says "I was not made in factory in nowhere Ohio.

Heh. Ingredients: Apple, carmel, peanuts. Yum!

Five, Vanilla Sky was really very good. The ending totally made the entire movie, and I was waiting to see how they would resolve things. However, since it was a Cameron Crowe film, of course it was well done. The skeptic in me in impressed.

And! JASON LEE!!!!

*ahem* I'm fine. I swear.

Kurt Russell also did a fine job.

And now that I've finished it, I can finally give it back to Garvey.

That's all folks. But knowing me. And knowing today. And knowing that fact that it's only 7-ish...I'll be back. ;-)

You'll See - RENT (in head)

Must have been hard to see through the tears she was hiding

Fucking tab button! *shakes and angry fist*

I'm thinking of going to bed now.

Yes. It's 8:30. Yes, I don't have to be up for another 11 hours.

But I'm bored, and a bit sleepy. Despite the nap earlier. Lazy day today. Lazy days make me tired.

So I'm out of here. Goodnight! I hope you all had a good weekend, and I wish you all the happiness of the upcoming week. :-)
