Britney Interview @

Britney on her upcoming movie and tour

Britney on working with Justin and her album to be released

Some highlights:

MTV: Do you find similarities between your life and this character?

Spears: No. I think Lucy and Britney are very different, but there are some things that are similar. Lucy is very naive. She's very dorky. I hope I'm not that dorky, but she keeps to herself a lot. She writes in her journal a lot. I do that, too.

MTV: You recorded a song with your boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, for your new album. How was that?

Spears: Justin and [choreographer/songwriter] Wade Robson wrote it for me, and it's called "What It's Like to Be Me." It's a very cool song. It's very rock, and Justin did the background vocals on it.

MTV: You also cover Joan Jett's hit "I Love Rock 'n' Roll." Can we say that this album is going to have a little more of a rock feeling?

Spears: I think so, yeah. It definitely has more of a rock flair.

MTV: Does that mean you're moving out of the pop area?

Spears: Pop music is popular music. I'm just bringing pop music to a different level. It's always going to be pop music. That's what I love to do. I love to dance, and pop music incorporates that. I'm just bringing it to the next level. Trying. [Laughs]

    I'm A Slave 4 U (in head)

As may be obvious by my recent post....

I'm awake. I plan on going to Saturday crew today from 9 (oops, I will be going late) until 2. Then we are going to lunch at Chili's and to a beach in Lake Forest.

That means I get to go to Toys R Us to buy a volley ball this morning, because apparently no one has one, and Nikki was bitching about it last night. Unfortunately it was on AIM, so I don't know if she got my extremely short temper through the line. Oh well. Best if she thinks I wasn't angry about it.

I also need to go pick up breakfast. I'm thinking a bagel from Panera. Mmmmm....Cinnamon Crunch Bagels....

I should really get going. I'm an hour late as it is. I can show up anytime before 12:30, but I should get there as soon as possible. *sigh* It's going to be a long day. I can tell already. I don't really want to go to lunch or the beach, but they have a shortage of drivers, so I feel obligated.

It's just been a bad week, I think. The past 4 days have sucked big time. Physics test sucked. I don't know how to write an equation of a line that isn't y=mx+b. And US History, I got a 22 out of 30 scantron. Ouch. Technically it was a 22 out of 35, but he gave us all an extra 5 points because he wasn't there the day before. I think I did better on the essay part though. I got an 88 on my Witch Hunt paper *shrugs*

Yeah, so I'm gonna go now, cus you don't care about my classes, and I don't want to think about them.

Lazy Eye - Goo Goo Dolls; What U See (is What U Get) - Brit

Home again

Ouch. My feet hurt so much. We went to the beach today, only, we had to park half a mile away and 4 inch platform sandals. It wasn't too bad on the way there, but there are these *killer* stairs. At least a hundred, and steep, to get down to the beach. After running around on rocky sand barefoot playing volleyball for 3 hours, it hurt to go back up them. And the half-mile hike back to the cars was less than pleasant. Ouchy feet.

Family is over at Ci's apartment. I guess I could call over there and see if they are planning dinner.

It's been a long day. And it's only 3/4 over.

    Airport Song - Guster

"America Town" by Five for Fighting. Such a fantastic song.

I know I should be happy in your land,
It's not all that wild, to me...

I know we kick your ass
But first I'll take a nap...

Here in the borders of America Town
All of the dollars are spinning 'round and 'round

Obligatory entry before bed....

Well, it's sort of a self-imposed obligation, but I can't just not. Weird, I know, but I'm quite the quarky chick.

Went to dinner tonight with parents, Zoe and Ci. Kinda disappointing, because they were out of the soup I wanted, and the ravioli wasn't superb. Damn, I forgot my leftovers in Ci's fridge. Feel free to eat it for lunch sometime this week, I don't think I'll bother picking it up.

Ci and I then went back to her apartment to watch Young Guns. It was...eighties...trying to be western...using hot guys and sex appeal to draw an audience...and it worked. I enjoy Keifer Sutherland (sp?), and *adore* Charlie Sheen. It seems I'm always into the druggies. Charlie, Ben Affleck, and Robert Downey Jr. *sigh* The good ones are always high.

I'm sure there's a reason for that. Ya know, making it impossible for me to ever find someone, because I make my own excuses for why it wouldn't work. Drugs, marriage, the hair is wrong. Oh well, I'm still young. I have time to find the man of my dreams. HA!

Alright, I no longer feel like writing, so I shall go crash. I need some sleep....bad. Goodnight sweet world!
