Short update before bed

This is going to be incredibly short, cus I'm tired beyond belief. Today was pretty cool. Got up, showered, and went to Chris's, like yesterday. Zoe wanted to go to the pool, but I said no, because we were going out to lunch. We picked up Candace and Nikki and drove to Ed's. We planned on eating there because our friend Courtney works there, playing the character Dixie. It was great because there were about 12 of us, and it was just good ol' fun. After, Zoe and I went home so she could nap. At 5, we went back to Chris's so we'd be there when she got home. She then showered and got ready while I picked up our other two sisters and went to TGIFriday's for dinner. After, we stopped by Jewel to pick up alcohol and went back to Emily's apartment. Around 10, I left because Candace called and said that the summer theatre show was over and they were going back to her house. I stayed there until 1 when I came home. I'm so sleepy now though. I think I'm gonna get a bunch of sleep then go shopping before the birthday party tomorrow. You'll hear about it later. Night night!

Yeah Saturday!

This morning I woke up bright and early this morning at 9:30. Though I could have rolled over and gone back to sleep, I decided to get up and shower and face the day ahead of me with enthusiasm. With a need to purchase a gift and an intense craving to go shopping, I parted my house around 10 to hit the mall early. For the first time this entire summer the money I've earned babysitting has gone towards it's true purpose...clothes. Though I only bought one shirt (from American Eagle), I had a field day at Victoria's Secret. Their new colors are just fantastic. After the mall, I set my courses to Best Buy. I picked up the 3 Doors Down CD (it's totally awesome). I also tried looking for Guster, but there were no CDs by the plastic marker labeled with the band's name. Bummed, I checked out. While walking out to the car, I realized that the primary goal of shopping this morning was to buy a birthday present, and I hadn't. I was planning on a gift certificate to Best Buy. Thinking quickly, I decided to go to the Best Buy in Deerfield (since I had been in Vernon Hills for the mall. I have forever sworn off Northbrook Court, because I hate it.) Traveling homeward bound, I arrive at Best Buy a little before noon. I search again for Guster...none, not even a place indicator to tell me that they sell Guster at all. Stupid Best Buy conspiracy. I leave with only the gift certificate.

I arrive home about 12:15 and have a half hour before heading to the movie theatre for Jenn's Party. I wasted the time checking e-mail and before long, I was out the door, late of course. I meet up with the other party attendants and we head into the theatre. Because it's a surprise party, Jenn has no idea we are there, nor do we know when she is going to arrive. She was hanging out with Zoe (friend, not niece) and her boyfriend Jordan and it was their job to get her to the theatre. The movie starts at 1:45 and we panic because she isn't there yet. She eventually comes in during one of the previews and is totally surprised. She was really excited too (definitely worked better than Elliott's party). We saw America's Sweethearts. I loved it, but then again I'm partial because Julia Roberts is my favorite actress and John Cusack is (if not #1) in the top three. It was absolutely wonderful!! After the movie, we headed to Ed Debevic's for a late lunch/early dinner. Two times in two days, and I usually hate that place. Both days, though, the waitresses were nice and the food was good, so it was all okay.

I got home at 5:45, just as Fayanne and Zoe (niece) were just about to leave to go to Chili's for dinner. I went with, and just ate the bottomless tostada chips, and no real food, since I had just eaten. It was nice anyway.

When we got home, I saw that Candace had called 3 times (I love caller ID), so I called her back. She asked if I wanted to go see Baby With the Bathwater (the summer theatre play tonight). Considering I'm home currently, you can see that I said no, because I had to babysit. I then called Allie, since I still haven't talked to her, though she's been home from Costa Rica since Monday. Tragic, I know. She was at dinner, so I told her mom to have her call me when she was done. (She still hasn't called...hmmm, she's a slack). After, I tried calling Caitlin, cus her and Lewis have been having some problems lately. (She wants space and a fun relationship, he wants to have a serious, meaningful relationship. Problem.) She was just sitting down to dinner, so I told her to call me when she was done. She did, and we talked for about 40 minutes (I love phones that tell you how long you spoke for...it's cool.) We decided that we have to have a girls night out. Monday during the day, her, Candace, Zoe and maybe Nikki are going dress shopping all day, just for the hell of it. I'm so jealous! I wish I didn't have to babysit. Grrr...I wanna go dress shopping. Oh well, sucks to be me.

That just about brings you up to speed. I'm still waiting for Allie to call me back, and surfing the web in the meantime. I'm a bit tired, and have been all day...perhaps I'll get into my pajamas and snuggle up in bed. Watch a romantic comedy or something. Sounds like fun? It will be. :o)
