First off, I think I've found something that pisses me off more than full-frame versions of movies, people who hate subtitled films, and annoying talkative cinema audiences...combined.

Colorized versions of black-and-white movies.

It's a Wonderful Life was not shot in color, and therefore should not be viewed in color. Jerks.

Frank Capra should be rolling over in his grave for that injustice.

Second...I've been really good lately about not buying an excessive amount of things I don't need (read: DVDs), but the holiday season is coming up, which means all the awesome movies from the summer are being released in time for gift-giving. While there are a ton more that I could put on this list...these are top priorities...

Out already:
- Pixar Short Films Collection, Vol. 1

Nov. 13:
- Pride and Prejudice Two-Disc Special Edition (because clearly I need it)

Nov. 20:
- Hairspray

Dec. 4:
- Superbad
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (arguably the worst thing to happen to Pirates ever...but I feel compelled to buy it and lament the loss of what could have been a great film)

Dec. 11(?):
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (I'm not entirely sure on the date, except that the special gift set with all five movies is being released that I assume the individual film would be as well)

Dec. 18:
- Once
- Stardust

Notable films not making the list include: Ocean's 13, The Bourne Ultimatum, Live Free or Die Hard, and Waitress. I enjoyed all of these films, but they don't make the first cut and I'll perhaps pick them up in a few months when they go on uber sale.

It's a good thing that I get double Reward Zone points anytime I shop at Best Buy before 11am from now until Christmas.
