One more thing, there's a film blog I read (through indieWIRE), and he always posts the fun gay news, so I thoughts I'd report.

First off, in a speech she gave upon receiving the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at the 16th annual Women in Entertainment Breakfast, Jodie Foster thanked those nearest and dearest to her, among them was “my beautiful Cydney who sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss.”

Apparently, it's the first time she's ever thanked her girlfriend in public. Kudos to that.

[EDIT: I figured I'd just add to this entry...according to mediatakeout.com, Queen Latifah got engaged last week to her girlfriend of 4+ years.]

Second, he reports on a couple upcoming movies here.

One stars Ellen Page and Olivia Thrillby, both of Juno fame, as girls who have a love affair in NYC. There's a twist: "Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week she tries to push her away. Diane must struggle to keep their love alive while hiding the secret that her newly awakened sexual desire occasionally turns her into a werewolf."

Werewolf lesbians? One ticket, please.

The other will feature Sean Penn, Emile Hirsch and Josh Brolin in a Gus Van Sant biopic about former San Francisco city supervisor and gay-rights activist Harvey Milk (Penn). Brolin is in talks to play Dan White, the elected official who assassinated Milk in 1978, and Hirsch may pick up the role of street hustler-turned-Milk aide, Cleve Jones.

That's all well and good, but my favorite? James Franco is gearing up to play Milk's longtime lover, Scott Smith. LOVE IT.

Finally, Sherri Shepherd is a dumbass. If you haven't seen them yet, there are some stellar clips of her on YouTube. One in which she thinks that nothing happened before Christianity (the other women on the panel ASSURE her that the Greeks and Romans came first, but she's still skeptical). The second in which she gets all up in arms about a teacher letting boys dress up in dresses during play time and how she'd never let her son wear a dress because that's not what boys wear. It, of course, launches into a discussion of transgendered youth, which I felt Barbara Walters handled very well, and, of course, you want to punch Sherri Shepherd in the mouth. What are you gonna do?
